Independent record producer, musician, and engineer Matty Amendola is a uniquely determined artist on the New York & national music scene. As a drummer and performing musician for 15+ years, he's recorded on countless albums and has shared all kinds of stages, from late-night NYC jams with Adam Levine (Maroon 5) to massive corporate events for Nike & IBM, prestigious hometown venues like Radio City Music Hall with Ty Taylor (Vintage Trouble) and across the airwaves on MTV's TRL with The Classic Futures. In 2008, he started music incubator 825 Records, Inc. and produced and developed releases for a wide-ranging roster of independent artists (Don't Go Away & Real Religion - Katie Lee, Morning Void & ASAP - Fleet Walker, Harsh Mistress - Jay Shepard, Machines & Animals - Kerchief).
As a songwriter, Amendola has landed worldwide broadcast placements with original music in commercials for MetLife (2013 NFL Superbowl & World Baseball Classic) and hundreds of song placements for independent artists, playlists in retail stores, and original scores. Matty has also periodically released solo material, beginning with his first release in 2007, where he budded a brotherly partnership with Grammy Award Winning audio engineer Butch Jones (Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, Madonna). Since then, they have worked together on everything from indie-rock to lavish Broadway soundtracks out of 825 Records' studio (rebuilt in 2014 by renowned NYC studio builder Chris Harmaty). Packed with analog equipment and Amendola's personal collection of instruments, amps, and microphones, 825 offers several services, from mixing to full-service production (both remote or in-person).
Penned a "Great Gretsch Educator" by the renowned brand he also endorses, Matty's holistic approach to engineering and mixing has led to teaching at clinics that span the coast, including MixCon and at The Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp. Additionally, his experience creating industry-lauded educational tutorials on engineering and production is vast, having worked with Sonicscoop.com, Universal Audio, Telefunken Microphones, Soundtoys, and more.
Odds are, if you're making a record, Matty Amendola can help you.
Furthermore, Matty has had the pleasure (in some capacity) to work and play with industry icons such as Curtis King Jr, Michael MacIvor, Vinny Zummo, Jody Porter, Vince Neil, Leslie West, Tituss Burgess, Justin Guarini, Rami Jaffee, Dodie Pettit, Jay Messina, Mark Hudson, Hugh McCracken, Steve Lukather, Nuttin' But Stringz, Tom Scott, Ty Taylor, Paul Gilbert, John Blackwell, Vinny Appice, Madame Mayhem, Will Lee, Michal Mangini, George Small, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Doane Perry, Charles Perry, Gary Hoey, Mike "Metal" Goldberg, Dunn Pearson Jr, Bette Sussman, Rudy Sarzo, Elaine Caswell, Carmine Rojas, Bruce Kulick, Jon Paris, Temar Underwood, Dave Matos, Mark Rivera, Tinker Barfield, Frank Perry, Denny Seiwell, Kip Winger, Liberty Devitto, Giovanni Hidalgo, Jena Kraus, Teddy Andreadis, Gary Van Syoc, Janice Pendarvis, Elliot Easton, Tommy Byrnes, John Moyer, among many others.
